The kindness and love you give to others come right back to you with care and the help that you need when you're sick! It's those friends that we will have for a lifetime, and reading this made me miss Bend so very much again. It also inspired me to do something about being so alone here. While I only have one week left before heading home for the Holidays, I want to make an effort to find a new circle of friends here, even if it will be harder in such a massive place. Thank you for the constant inspiration and encouragement your writing provides. It always warms my heart. I do hope that you feel better soon and hit the trails and slopes with your friends :)

About your writing schedule, do what feels right to you. Your supporters understand if you can only post once or twice a month or give quick mini-stories occasionally. We love every bit we get from you but want you to take care of yourself first and foremost!

Love and hugs from me as well.

Thank you for reading and for the well wishes, Andrea! It's helpful to hear that y'all are amendable to a flexible writing schedule, which seems to be what the muse requires right now. I'm finally feeling better, so hopefully publishing and skiing this week.🤞🤞 I'm so glad to hear you're feeling constant inspiration and encouragement, especially to make more connections and friends which can be daunting but tends to snowball in my experience. You go out on a limb (or a rock ledge 😜) to make one connection one day and then 10 more follow soon after!

To give from one's heart rather than out of duty or some personal need to be needed is beautiful and a core part of who you are, so naturally you attract that in others.

Blessings on your recovery time and the food that feeds more than the body.

Love, hugs, Marci

Ahhh, thank you for the compliment and hugs, Marci! And thank you for reading! I finished the meds and it's been ~10 days. I seem to be well and back to 100%!🤞

So listening to News From Jules, “Tender loving Care.” On January 6th 2022 my wife and best friend of 47 years passed away of pulmonary sarcoidosis on what turned out to be a record setting snow fall in Wenatchee, WA. The following day saw a flood of care headed my way. Both of my kids announced they were coming to stay with me for a bit. Bags of food, clothing, a comfortable sitting blanket and countless out pouring of heart felt condolence flooded my sorrow laden mind. And some came from people I did not know, but had heard what happened from others that I knew. So yes, tender loving care was what I needed and all arrived, in abundance without notice, just because a heart was aching and they knew what to do. ❤️ And yes, the tears are flowing as I write this. So thank you for that.

As for sitting “alone” in the ER lobby… Call me! I will sit with you! I have done this many times over the years. I know it’s very hard sitting there with only your thoughts of “what if” going through your head.

You write so beautifully. I’m glad you posted the link to your Substack. Gotta go look for a hanky. 😊
